Overview of Push Plates

Push plates are flat pieces of material, typically metal or alloy, that you push to open the doors on which they are installed. They are specifically designed for Metal or Wood doors that require or support pushing to open. You can install them on both sides of swinging doors or on the push side of one-directional doors, which often have a pull handle on the opposite side.

How Push Plates Protect Doors From Damage

Push plates eliminate the need to touch the door directly to open it. Instead of pushing the door itself, you push the plate. Repeatedly pushing a door directly can cause wear and tear, leading to superficial blemishes that may eventually turn into significant damage. 1. Ratings: Our Fire rated Push Plates are tested and approved through Intertek with 90 minute Fire ratings for wood and hallow metal doors.

3. Installation Requirements: Push plates are installed using threaded fasteners. The number of fasteners required depends on the plate, with some needing four and others six or more. Ensure you have the correct number of fasteners for secure installation.
